How does Spirit speak to us?
How does Great Spirit speak to us?
Sometimes we want God to communicate with us in grandiose ways. Maybe we want a clear message, written in flames on the wall and signed by God. In my experience, it rarely happens that way. Source, Spirit, whatever you want to call it, speaks to us in quiet, unexpected ways.
Today we had a meditation gathering in honor of Divine Mother. A beautiful meditation came through that touched everyone's heart.
Much later I went into the kitchen to clean up. I found a paper towel that had absorbed water in such a way that it created a perfect heart shape. Does Divine Mother speak to us through paper towels? I don't know. Maybe it's just a coincidence.
The human mind always looks for patterns and meaning, seeing faces in clouds or in a simmering fire. But I do know that this heart shape is meaningful to me. It is an acknowledgement that nothing is ever lost, no love unanswered. We don't get to see the impact our devotion has on the greater good. Along the same lines, we don't know how negative emotions or thoughts affects the web of life. But we can open our hearts to the beauty all around us. Maybe we'll even find a heart pattern in a beach rock or a flower petal. Sheer coincidence, or the need to find meaning? Maybe both are true. I like to look at those unexpected images as signs from Source that nothing goes unnoticed. We are part of a greater field of energy. What we feed into the field affects the whole, and it returns to us. Let us offer our heart's love and devotion to that great web of life.
Namaste,
Uki
